On September 27th, 2022, our field biology class “taught by Mr. Weber,” went down to Brookston to the St. Louis River for water testing. Brookston is a small town in northern Minnesota only fifteen minutes away from South Ridge School. In the morning we did water tests, Ph levels, oxygen levels, etc. In the afternoon, our class collected macroinvertebrates, (bugs we found in the water). In the photos, students are on the banks of the river and in the water collecting specimens. A big shoutout to “Stokkes Meats” for a nice donation of our lunch for that day.
